JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution isn't exactly an original feature. Instead, the newest movie from the JuJutsu Kaisen fantasy saga serves as a collection of the series' second installment stitched together with the opening installments of its third season, which begins the Culling Games storyline from the original manga. This makes Execution, which recently received a fresh preview, the quickest way to view the start of the upcoming season ahead of its 2026 January debut. The film debuts in cinemas in Japan starting November 7, and in the United States and Canada on December 5.

The Culling Games Storyline

"Thunderclap" from season 2 is frequently praised as a top-tier scene in animated series lore, in spite of all the controversy in last year when the episodes first debuted. Audiences knew about the issues behind the scenes, which made them value what they saw even more. People clamored to see if the Blu-ray, made available on March 18, would include new footage to the sequence or to see if it was improved in any way, and were thrilled to see just that, alongside color corrections, smoother movement, and different color grading.

The Film's Potential

But the Blu-ray can only refine what has initially broadcast in the broadcast edition, whereas the film has the chance to do the sequence justice with more adjustments and new animations entirely.

Currently, these two episodes serve as the magnum opus of JuJutsu Kaisen, and should be given special attention by Mappa, especially considering the debate they faced at the time. It's garnered the attention of anime fans all over the globe, and the Culling Games arc is a much-expected plotline of the following year. If Mappa wants to start the year off right, revisit the show's top scene once again in cinemas with the finest version we've witnessed to date.
